With a view informed by our post-colonial lens, I found myself experimenting with color homogenization. In 2016 @crayola brand offers eleven options of assorted crayon boxes. In concert with their packaging logic, I mixed each collection into ever so nuanced browns, and then poured the hybrid colors over specifically sized panels, corresponding to each box by crayon volume such that each surface held an identical tension and depth. Unsure of a proper arrangement for displaying the collection as one, I cut the scaled-down squares from a single sheet of printer paper and dropped them on to the floor. I recorded their chance fall and organized the array on the wall by this divine intervention.

Through a simple process of comparing paint swatches from to these novel crayon mixtures, I objectively identified ideal color names and inscribed them into the wax surfaces with a soldering iron.
